Scope:

• Communicate complex technical decisions effectively to different audiences: engineers and architects, market and marketing leaders. finance and senior stakeholders
• Adapt the framing without changing the facts
• Write clearly and produce documentation that remains useful long after the original discussion, including architecture and decision records, technical assessments, product roadmaps, governance documentation
• Leading engineering, design, security and market teams
• Challenge assumptions and numbers that do not withstand scrutiny, including positive business cases and efficiency claims.
• Escalate issues early, always bringing a clear set of options and recommendations
• Develop the people and teams around you
• Onboard market stakeholders and establish effective ways of working
• Ensure knowledge and processes are documented rather than dependent on individual people
• Should be comfortable discussing and evaluating:

Headless & composable CMS architecture:

• direct experience with a code-first, self-hosted CMS is strongly preferred; familiarity with licensed enterprise CMS platforms is expected
• Content modelling & localization at multi-market scale, including the technical and commercial constraints that influence licensing tiers
• Multi-tenancy: data isolation, tenant-scoped configuration, and defining the right boundary between shared and isolated capabilities
• Design systems: design tokens, component libraries, composition boundaries, and token binding
• Modern frontend delivery: typically React and TypeScript, with a clear understanding of how content flows through to a rendered digital journey
• Cloud & DevOps: cloud hosting, CI/CD, environments, access models, and what a credible security assessment should cover
• Agentic coding tools & spec-driven development: hands-on experience is essential. You need personal fluency, not just theoretical knowledge, to set the standard for teams working this way.
• AI translation & model behavior: enough practical understanding to evaluate claims, limitations, quality, and risks rather than simply accepting vendor promises

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience owning a technical platform product, ideally one consumed by internal teams rather than end customers
• Proven experience taking a platform from prototype through to production in a regulated or highly governed environment
• Comfortable owning and defending a business case, not simply managing a product backlog
• Able to balance technical investment, business value, risk, cost, and delivery priorities
• Fluent English
  
   

  Nice to have:

• Experience working in telecommunications or another highly regulated, multi-market environment
• Proven experience decommissioning legacy platforms, not just implementing their replacements
• Multilingual capabilities, given the international and multi-market nature of the role
• Experience introducing an agent-first way of working to a team that was not previously working this way and successfully embedding it into the team’s day-to-day practices
