Project Overview:

The project focuses on the implementation of automation solutions for: Billing and Provisioning & Service-related activities (bug fixes, client-paid change requests, and enhancements)
This work is based on an existing client product. As the scope expands, the client plans to build new development teams to support further growth of the product.
 

Skills:

Core Technology Stack

• Scala 2.13
• Play Framework (Pekko-based)
• MySQL
• Redis
• AWS services

 
Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of Scala, including: Collections, Futures, Immutability, Pattern matching

• Good understanding of SQL, including: Query optimization, Indexes, Query profiling

• Experience with AWS services
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows: Git, Pull request (PR) flow

 
Nice to Have:

• Experience with Squeryl and/or Doobie
• Familiarity with Grafana and Kibana dashboards and alerting
• Experience working with large distributed systems
• Knowledge of horizontal scaling in Play / Pekko environment

 
Seniority & Experience:

• This is a senior-level role
• Expected experience: 4+ years of relevant backend development experience
