Job Introduction:
We are looking for a talented Senior Tester to join a leading Weather Web team within a major media organization.
This platform reaches over 10 million users each week, and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team that ensures the service remains reliable, engaging, and accurate. The purpose of the role is to maintain the highest standards of information and features by working closely with engineers, product managers, and delivery teams during the rollout of new functionality, as well as ongoing work related to changing data providers.

Scope:
Engaged in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including architecture, design, testing, development, and delivery. As a QA advocate, the candidate will be reviewing new features that come in, assessing them, deciding on the scope of testing and feeding back estimations and findings to the wider team. They will also play a major part in shaping the team culture, setting test expectations and working closely with the other testers on the team to ensure the approach to testing is aligned with team ways of working and the client strategic direction.
Requirements:
- Extensive front end web testing experience, performing integration, functional, regression, exploratory, and automated testing
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams with experience in planning, executing, and reporting on test strategies
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication for reporting, documentation, etc.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work closely with developers, UX designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality product delivery
- Experience testing accessibility using assistive technologies such as screen readers
Desirable:
- Skilled in writing and maintaining reusable automated tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or other JavaScript-based frameworks
- Experience of pairing and performing code reviews alongside engineers
- Proficient in Jira & Confluence
- Experience of API level testing
- An understanding of weather or meteorological data and how it is presented to users in audiencefacing digital products
