We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer for our international client.

Scope:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Mobile Engineer developer who will:

• Contribute to the early-stage development of a new, video-led news mobile application for a UK media company.
• Help shape the app architecture and technical direction during its foundational phase.
• Build scalable, high-performance features focused on video clips and story-based content.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend, DevOps).
• Ensure smooth deployment and release processes across iOS and Android platforms.
• Support code quality, refactoring, and best practices within the engineering team.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with strong senior-level expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in React Native, including TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of mobile build and deployment processes for iOS and Android.
• Experience working with the Expo framework (https://expo.dev/).
• Strong knowledge of component-based UI architecture in React.
• Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Context API, Redux, or similar).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous data handling in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong debugging, refactoring, and code optimization skills.
• Proficiency using VS Code and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
