Scope:

Are you a seasoned Java expert who views code quality as a craft and architecture as a mission? We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our agile team and play a pivotal role in evolving our complex system landscape. This isn’t just about maintenance; it’s about transformation. You will be at the forefront of migrating existing systems to modern architectures, introducing event streaming, and leveraging the full power of the Azure cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Modern Development: Build high-performance applications using Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem, contributing fresh ideas to solve complex business logic.
• System Evolution: Actively drive the migration of legacy services into a modern, microservices-based landscape using OpenAPI and Event Streaming.
• Architectural Ownership: Take responsibility for conceptual design and architectural decisions, ensuring that quality and scalability are “baked in” from the start.
• DevOps & Operational Excellence: Support the operationalization of your software, taking ownership of 3rd level support and contributing to our CI/CD and DevOps maturity.
• Lead by Example: Use your extensive experience to own specific topics and mentor the team, ensuring a seamless transition and high standards across the board.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java 17+ and Spring (Boot, JPA, Security).
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate and relational data modeling with SQL (specifically MS SQL Server)
• A solid understanding of Azure cloud services (experience with Azure Service Bus is a major advantage).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Docker, and Kubernetes, with a deep commitment to Clean Code and automated testing.
• Fluent in English, Italian is a plus.
