Football team Mobile App Development

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Senior iOS Developer to be a key architect of a revolutionary mobile application for a premier football team. You will be at the forefront of designing and developing a platform that redefines fan engagement, creating a seamless and immersive experience for supporters both in the stadium and around the world. This is your chance to build an app that sets a new standard for technical excellence and user interaction in the sports industry, directly shaping the future of how fans connect with the game.

The Football Mobile Fan Engagement Platform is a multi-layered digital initiative designed to create a unified, real-time fan experience both inside the stadium and globally. This platform combines a native mobile application with a sophisticated data ingestion and analytics pipeline to deliver personalised content, streamline game-day operations, and foster a deeper connection between the team and its global fanbase.

We are solving the challenge of moving from fragmented, traditional media to an immersive, data-driven digital ecosystem. By unifying news, videos, stats, mobile ticketing, and in-stadium features into a single mobile app, we aim to eliminate fan friction and use real-time data to enhance everything from stadium entry to concession wait times.

Skills:

• Skilled in Swift, with experience building scalable apps using MVVM.
• Proficient in SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Core Data, Auto Layout, and networking frameworks like URLSession / Alamofire.
• Hands-on with RESTful APIs, third-party SDK integration, unit/UI testing (XCTest, XCUITest), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling using LLDB and Xcode Instruments.
• Knowledge of App Store/TestFlight workflows, Git, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Bonus/Advantage: Experience using AI-assisted IDEs (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to improve efficiency, experience with other programming languages or technologies

Qualifications:

Backend Development:

• Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Experience designing and integrating backend services that support real-time data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and delivery to mobile clients.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming (async/await) in Python for building performant, scalable APIs.
• Experience with database integration (SQL/NoSQL), API authentication/authorization, and third-party API integrations.
• Knowledge of deploying and maintaining backend services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Understanding of API documentation practices (OpenAPI/Swagger) and versioning strategies.

Requirements / Must-Haves:

• Ability to work with teams in the US time-zone.
• Strong consulting mindset, with the ability to propose innovations and explain reasons for changes.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in test automation and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience architecting mobile apps that consume custom backend APIs using FastAPI.
