  • Hybrid (8x times in the Krakow office)

Scope:

  • Build, deploy and manage the GCP foundation platform applications primarily using Google Cloud products like BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Run etc. and Python as programming language.
  • Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g. Terraform, Config Connector).
  • Engineering activities to implement preventive security solutions centrally to improve overall security posture.
  • Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided common cloud services covering IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers etc.
  • Ensure compliance with centrally defined Cloud Security Standards.
  • Ensure compliancy with Operational risk standards (E.g. Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency).
  • Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD) and continuous testing activities.
  • Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards.
  • Update support and operational documentation as required.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in building managing a range of services in Google Cloud Platform. Expertise in products like GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Build or Cloud Run will be considered as a plus.
  • Expert level understanding of Cloud Security and associated Google Cloud specific best practices.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques. Hands-on experience in Terraform and strong understanding of CI/CD and related tools e.g. Cloud Build, Flux CD, Helm.
  • Excellent skills in at least one of following programming languages: Python, Go, Bash.
  • Security and Compliance experienced, e.g. IAM and cloud comliance/auditing/monitoring tools and experienced in full automation and configuration management.
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others’ compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
