Senior DataOps Engineer / Contract / Poland

We’re looking for a Senior DataOps Engineer (Senior and Mid) for our international client.

Scope:

We are looking for a Senior DataOps Engineer to join the MAP (Modeling and Platforms) Support Team. You’ll be the backbone of our data and modeling platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and highly available for our data scientists and analysts.

This role is a blend of high-level architecture, hands-on infrastructure management (CloudFormation), and proactive developer support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Excellence: Drive optimizations, upgrades, and routine maintenance of our Kubernetes-based data and modeling platform.
• Pipeline Migration: Lead and assist in the strategic migration of complex data pipelines.
• Support & Enablement: Field technical queries regarding Airflow, manage access controls, and provide minor feature enhancements to improve the developer experience.
• Engineering Standards: Apply design patterns to ensure all software and infrastructure are built with scale, security, and reliability at the forefront.
• Collaboration: Participate in Pair Programming and advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern CI/CD practices.

Skills required:

• 5+ years of experience as DataOps Engineer or similar role covering the most of required skills
• Expertise in Cloud architecture and key technologies (Kubernetes, Airflow, Managed Airflow)
• Expertise in modern development tools and practices (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, Observability, Pair Programming, TDD)
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation)
• Experience with databases (Database: Redshift)
• Programming language (Python)
• Expertise in choosing and applying design patterns.
• Developing software with scale, security and reliability in mind.
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns and best practices
• Test Driven Development and testing practices”
