We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a client’s MDM Data Product Team, responsible for delivering high-quality, well-structured master data across modern cloud platforms.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be part of a stable, agile team responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of data integrations and data products, including API-based solutions.

Scope:
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and integration pipelines from source systems
- Build and support scalable data products and API-based data services
- Collaborate with stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
- Proactively guide stakeholders toward best technical and data solutions
- Gain a strong understanding of business processes, legacy systems, and data domains
- Work closely with data stewards and architects to implement architecture and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, quality, scalability)
- Make independent design and technology decisions in collaboration with product owners and architects
- Support team members and business stakeholders with technical expertise and best practices
- Contribute to high-quality code delivery through testing strategies and CI/CD automation
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in designing data products and data warehouse solutions
- Strong expertise in data modeling, data processing, and data architecture patterns
- Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake or similar
- Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL
- Strong understanding of Azure-based data solutions, including cost optimization and architectural trade-offs
- Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable data platforms in the cloud
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a distributed environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and practices
- Experience in designing and developing APIs
- Familiarity with modern data platform best practices and governance
