We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to define and govern the architecture of our Azure-based data platform. The role focuses on establishing standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions across the platform. You will own Data Product architecture and design and support modernization of existing solutions from legacy platforms into modern Azure data platform architectures. This includes helping teams transition from MSBI-based reporting solutions to Data Products. In addition, the role includes architectural oversight of selected supplier-managed SaaS/COTS applications, with focus on onboarding, security and access model reviews, compliance requirements, supplier collaboration, and support in audit-sensitive environments. The role also requires understanding of audit processes, supplier SOC reports, and secure access patterns such as Single Sign-On.

• Candidates based in Wrocław or nearby are expected to work from the office 2 days per week, while candidates from other parts of the country may work fully remotely, with visits to the Wrocław office approximately once per quarter for planning workshops.

Scope:
• Define and govern end-to-end data architecture on Azure, including standards and patterns for ingestion, integration, transformation, and Medallion architecture
• Guide teams on ETL/ELT, streaming, integration approaches, and the design and development of Data Products
• Drive modernization of legacy solutions into modern data platform architectures, including transition from MSBI-based reporting (SSIS, SSAS) to Data Products
• Contribute to technology selection and evolution of the Azure data platform, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards
• Provide architectural oversight of supplier-managed SaaS/COTS applications, including onboarding, security and access model reviews, technical validation, and collaboration with suppliers
• Support upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical discussions across application, infrastructure, server, network, and integration topics when required
• Support external audits, including review of required processes, controls, and supplier SOC reports
• Support implementation of secure access patterns including Single Sign-On
Skills:
• Strong experience with Azure data platform services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Azure Storage, and Azure Functions
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, streaming, data integration patterns, Medallion architecture, and Data Product design
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL
• Strong understanding of Azure security, including Managed Identities, Service Principals, OAuth 2.0, Azure AD / Entra ID, Key Vault, and Single Sign-On
• Experience with SaaS/COTS solutions, including onboarding, security reviews, access rights, and audit/compliance topics such as SOC reports and financial controls
• Nice to have: Power BI, API Gateways, enterprise data models
