We are looking for a Senior COBOL Mainframe Developer for a financial client. You will become part of a highly experienced team of specialists responsible for the development and maintenance of mission-critical systems running on IBM Mainframe technologies.

 

You will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of advanced business applications that support the daily operations of our clients in the banking, insurance, and other highly regulated industries. Your role will involve analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and optimizing applications to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of key business processes

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in the development and maintenance of applications on the IBM Mainframe platform.
  • Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and z/OS.
  • Hands-on experience with DB2 databases, including SQL development, query optimization, and data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and independently design and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience in troubleshooting production issues and optimizing existing applications.
  • A proactive and self-driven attitude, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international project environment.
  • English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Git, Bitbucket , and CI/CD practices within Mainframe environments.
  • Experience in the banking, financial services, or insurance sector.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe modernization initiatives and AI-driven software development solutions.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers.
