SAS UK’s BigData infrastructure is the largest among all in-scope territories, hosting over 5PiB of data and 250,000+ SAS programs. It supports critical finance and compliance tenants, including regulatory workloads. The environment is highly complex and behind schedule, requiring a dedicated Engineering POD to accelerate delivery.
 

Job details:

  • Role: SAS Expert
  • Full-time
  • Poland, readiness to visit office in Warsaw or Krakow once a month.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: 30/11/2026 + extension

 

Scope:

  • Rationalization and conversion of files to supported formats (e.g., Parquet, Altair WPD)
  • Partitioning and loading large datasets into Hive, Teradata, or PostgreSQL
  • Development and validation of data migration pipelines and code compatibility
  • Setup of parallel run and production environments, including data sync and switchover

 

Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAS development, and analytics across domains.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SAS Base and Advanced SAS programming.
  • Proficient in SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI Studio, and SAS E-Miner.
  • Solid experience in SQL for data manipulation and integration with SAS.
  • Proven track record in code migration, optimization, and performance tuning across environments.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting SAS jobs and resolving code issues efficiently.
  • Exposure to data analytics projects with large-scale datasets.
  • Experienced in writing, testing, and validating SAS programs with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Role requires to handle Business Units independently during migration.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • English C1
