SAP Release Technical Expert – Paris (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

The SAP Release Technical Expert is accountable for the technical validation of all SAP releases—including Minor, Monthly, and Emergency—ensuring alignment with the SAP framework and the quality gates defined in the release governance model. This role ensures robust release management, cross-domain coordination, and high-quality delivery across SAP landscapes.

Scope:

• Technical Validation & Quality Gate Management: Validate SAP releases against defined quality gates, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Retrofit & Dual Landscape Synchronization: Manage technical and functional retrofit processes across dual landscapes to ensure consistency.
• Technical Coordination Across SAP Domains: Collaborate with Basis, Security, Integration, and ABAP teams to address cross-domain technical impacts.
• Release Risk & Issue Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate technical risks and issues related to SAP releases.
• Documentation, KPIs & Communication: Maintain release documentation, monitor KPIs, and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.

Skills:

• Deep expertise in SAP transport management (CTS+, ChaRM, CALM optional), landscape design, and multi-system synchronization.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP development and understanding of cross-domain technical impacts (Integration, Security, Basis, Enhancements).
• Solid understanding of SAP best practices in release technical governance.
• Experience with dual-landscape retrofit processes, including functional and technical retrofit logic.
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and support KPIs.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
