The Senior SAP FICO & BCM Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) with a strong focus on Bank Communication Management (BCM). The role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient end-to-end payment processing, bank connectivity, and approval workflows in SAP S/4HANA environments.
 

Key Responsibilities:

SAP FICO (FI)

• Configure and support FI modules:
  – General Ledger (GL)
  – Accounts Payable (AP)
  – Accounts Receivable (AR)
  – Bank Accounting
• Support payment run processing (F110) and payment proposals
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure correct integration with MM and Treasury
• Support financial reconciliation and reporting

Bank Communication Management (BCM)

• Design and configure SAP Bank Communication Management
• Configure payment approval workflows and release strategies
• Define payment grouping, batches, and prioritization
• Configure signatory rules and approval hierarchies
• Support multi-bank and multi-format payment processing
• Monitor and resolve BCM queues, payment blocks, and errors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements

Bank Connectivity & Integration

• Configure and support bank interfaces (File-based, SWIFT, Host-to-Host)
• Work with SAP Payment Medium Workbench (PMW)
• Support integration with SAP Treasury (TRM) if applicable
• Coordinate with banks, middleware, and technical teams
• Support encryption, certificates, and security setup (with Basis support)

Project Responsibilities

• Lead BCM/FICO workstreams in implementation and rollout projects
• Conduct business workshops and requirement gathering
• Prepare functional specifications and approval matrices
• Support UAT, go-live, and hypercare
• Mentor junior consultants and review their configurations
• Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, Security, and Banking partners

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Bank Communication Management
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance
• Strong knowledge of payment processes, approvals, and bank formats
• Experience with F110, PMW, BCM Monitor
• Strong understanding of SOX / audit controls for payments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification
• Experience with SAP Treasury (TRM)
• Experience with SWIFT, H2H, or bank portals
• Experience in large enterprise or government environments
• Experience working in KSA / GCC banking landscape (if applicable)
