We are seeking a Senior SAP FI Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Hungarian localization and country-specific accounting and tax regulations. The consultant will support a roll-out project, focusing on SAP best practice alignment and compliance with local legal requirements.

The role includes conducting discovery workshops, identifying process gaps, building roll-out templates, and supporting integration testing and go-live preparation. Most project activities will be delivered remotely, with limited on-site presence required during key project phases.

Scope:

Localization & Compliance

• Implement and validate Hungarian localization requirements within SAP FI.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
• Align SAP best practice solutions with Hungarian statutory requirements.
• Support mapping of local regulatory requirements into system design.

Financial Process Implementation

Focus areas include:

• E-invoicing
• Tax reporting
• Asset accounting, including mapping regulations for state subsidies
• Electronic Bank Statement (EBS)
• Other core FI processes as required

Workshops & Gap Analysis

• Conduct discovery workshops using a master process list.
• Identify gaps between template and local requirements.
• Define functional specifications and solution designs.
• Support the development of a roll-out template. Testing & Deployment Support

• Support integration testing (SIT/UAT).
• Assist during Go-Live preparation.
• Provide hypercare support post go-live.
• Collaborate closely with remote project teams via Webex and other collaboration tools.

Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of SAP FI functional experience.
• Proven experience with Hungarian localization in SAP.
• Strong knowledge of:
  – Hungarian accounting standards
  – Local tax regulations
  – Country-specific SAP best practices
• Hands-on configuration experience in SAP FI.
• Experience conducting workshops and leading requirement-gathering sessions.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a partially remote setup.
• Fluent in Hungarian and English
