Scope:

We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant specializing in SAP Release Management and Transport Control. In this role, you will lead the coordinated planning, execution, and governance of SAP releases across multiple complex systems. Operating within a highly regulated SAP environment, you will bridge the gap between business and IT stakeholders, ensure system stability throughout active release cycles, and maintain strictly transparent, audit-proof delivery processes.
 

Responsabilities:

• Define and manage comprehensive SAP release schedules, timelines, and release calendars across multi-system landscapes.
• Transport Control (TMS/ChaRM): Oversee, coordinate, and control transport processes utilizing SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) throughout the development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Support scope alignment, manage release approvals, drive go-live preparation, and lead hypercare/stabilization phases post-release.
• Maintain audit-proof, traceable release documentation and ensure strict adherence to defined approval workflows and regulatory standards.
• Test & Defect Management: Coordinate test windows, evaluate test results, track defect statuses, and perform risk analyses to provide qualified inputs for go-live decisions.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate communication between various business and IT teams, ensuring structured decision-making and efficient escalation paths.
 

Skills required:

• SAP Basis knowledge
• SAP Transport & Operational Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP transport management (specifically SAP Solution Manager ChaRM/TMS) and production-related stabilization.
• SAP Release Management: Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience planning and executing multi-system SAP releases (including calendar definition and go-live ownership).
• Governance & Compliance: Minimum 3 years working in highly regulated SAP environments requiring defined approval workflows and audit-proof documentation.
• Test Management: Minimum 3 years of experience in test planning, defect evaluation, and test coordination within an SAP context.
• Language: Professional fluency in German (C1/C2 level mandatory) and English.

 
Nice to have

• S/4HANA Landscapes: Proven experience with S/4HANA system landscapes in operations, releases, or projects (minimum 3 references required).
• SAP Cloud ALM: Basic knowledge or initial project experience using SAP Cloud ALM for testing or release management (minimum 2 references required).
• ITSM & ITIL: Strong understanding of standardized IT Service Management processes, ideally validated by an active ITIL Foundation or Practitioner certification.
• Risk & Cutover Management: Minimum 3 years of experience identifying release risks and structuring go-live/cutover phases.
