• Location: Hybrid. 1 day per week or every two weeks in Bucharest or Timișoara

• Duration: 2 years project

Scope:

We are seeking up to 10 experienced SAP Basis Consultants for a long-term, 2-year enterprise transformation program. This role focuses on executing large-scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA system conversions, complex technical migrations, landscape splits, and platform upgrades.

You will work closely with cross-functional technical teams to drive end-to-end execution—from pre-conversion assessment (Readiness Checks, ATC) through execution using advanced software update tools (SUM/DMO, ZDO, DO DMO) to post-conversion Fiori and Web Dispatcher optimization.

Responsabilities:

• S/4HANA Conversions & Technical Migrations.
  – System Conversions: Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA conversions utilizing Software Update Manager (SUM), Database Migration Option (DMO), Downtime-Optimized DMO (DO DMO), and Downtime-Optimized Conversion (DoC DMO)
  – Shell Strategy: Build and execute Shell system creation and subsequent Shell system S/4HANA conversions.
  – Technical Migrations: Perform platform and system migrations for SAP NetWeaver systems across ABAP, JAVA, Dual-Stack, and LiveCache environments using R3load, Jload, and DB Backup/Restore methods.
• Upgrades, Maintenance & High-Availability Options
  – System & DB Upgrades: Execute technical upgrades for SAP S/4HANA (Standard and Zero Downtime Option – ZDO), SAP NetWeaver (ABAP, JAVA, Dual-Stack, LiveCache), and underlying SAP HANA / target databases.
  – Dual-Stack Operations: Perform Dual-Stack Splits on legacy systems.
  – Patch Management: Manage routine and complex patch management cycles across NetWeaver ABAP, JAVA, Dual-Stack, and LiveCache architectures.
• Pre-Conversion Preparations & User Experience Setup
  – Readiness & Code Assessments: Manage technical preparations and remediation support for SAP S/4HANA Readiness Checks (RC) and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) execution.
  – Front-End & Middleware: Design, configure, and maintain the SAP S/4HANA Fiori Platform (Initial Setup & Upgrades) and SAP Web Dispatcher.

Skills required:

• Proven track record in complex SAP Basis engineering, specifically focused on brownfield S/4HANA conversion projects.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SUM, DMO, DO DMO, DoC DMO, and Zero Downtime Option (ZDO).
• Advanced expertise in SAP HANA Database administration, tuning, and version upgrades (including standard heterogeneous/homogeneous database migrations).
• In-depth technical knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture (ABAP, JAVA, Dual-Stack, LiveCache), including system split procedures.
• Strong proficiency in standard SAP migration tools (R3load, Jload, SWPM) and backup/restore methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience setting up and upgrading Fiori Launchpad architectures and configuring SAP Web Dispatchers.
• Fluent Romanian is required
