Project Overview

A major public-sector digitalization initiative is underway, using Pega as the core platform to modernize and standardize complex administrative processes. The first phase focuses on the digital transformation of the visa application process, streamlining application and processing procedures across 200+ international locations and enabling seamless integration between multiple authorities.

The project follows a greenfield approach, with a delivery team that will scale progressively over the coming months. The first production go-live is planned for end of 2026.

Role Description / Scope

As a Senior System Architect (SSA) or Lead System Architect (LSA), you will join an international delivery team and play a key hands-on role in designing, building, and delivering enterprise-grade Pega solutions.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable, secure Pega applications in a greenfield environment
• Defining solution architecture, best practices, and technical standards
• Developing and configuring Pega case types, workflows, UIs, rules, and data pages
• Designing and implementing system integrations (REST, SOAP, file-based)
• Supporting performance, quality, and security requirements for large-scale public-sector systems
• Collaborating closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders across countries
• Supporting testing, defect resolution, and go-live preparation
• Contributing to knowledge sharing and technical mentoring within the team

In addition to this role, there are ongoing and upcoming Pega-related initiatives. Strong-performing candidates may be considered for future assignments aligned with their experience and seniority.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills:

• Current Pega SSA or LSA certification – mandatory
• 4+ years of hands-on Pega development experience
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Pega solutions
• Strong practical knowledge of Pega 8.x:
  – Case types
  – Flows
  – User interfaces
  – Rules
  – Data pages
• Solid experience with system integrations: REST,  SOAP, File-based interfaces

Language Requirements:

• English (B2 or higher) – mandatory
• German – nice to have
