We are looking for an experienced Lead Mobile Engineer to support the development of a patient-facing mobile application for iOS and Android platforms.

The role focuses on building and delivering a mobile application using React Native and Expo while integrating with an existing enterprise ecosystem based on Microsoft technologies and .NET backend services. The consultant will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the mobile solution, including authentication, WebView integration, push notifications, application delivery pipelines, and deployment to App Store and Google Play.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and development teams to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions.

Role responsibilities:

• Design and develop mobile applications using React Native, Expo, TypeScript and Expo Router.
• Implement OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect authentication flows with PKCE and JWT token management.
• Integrate Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication into mobile applications.
• Design and implement secure session propagation between mobile application and WebView components.
• Integrate existing web applications through authenticated WebViews.
• Configure and maintain push notification services using Azure Notification Hub, APNs and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Implement deep linking, navigation, secure storage and mobile application lifecycle management.
• Configure and maintain EAS Build and EAS Submit pipelines.
• Manage application publication and release processes in App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical guidance for future mobile development.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with React Native and Expo (SDK 50+).
• Experience developing mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, PKCE and JWT authentication.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD integrations.
• Experience with React Native WebView and session management.
• Experience with REST API integration.
• Experience with push notification platforms (APNs, FCM, Azure Notification Hub).
• Experience with App Store and Google Play deployment processes.
• Experience with EAS Build and EAS Submit.
• Knowledge of secure storage solutions (e.g. Expo SecureStore).
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a distributed team.

• Experience with Azure AD B2C / CIAM solutions.
• Experience with MSAL for mobile applications.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated or patient-facing applications.
• Experience with hybrid architectures combining native mobile applications and WebView-based solutions.
• Experience working within enterprise authentication and identity platforms.
