We are looking for a frontend-leaning engineer whose primary strength is ReactJS but who is willing to work on backend services (Java or Python) as needed. You don’t need to be a backend expert—but you should be curious, willing to learn, and not hesitant to dig into APIs, data models, or server-side logic when the work calls for it.

Scope:

• Build and maintain React-based UI components and frontend features for SAP Concur’s Travel platform.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and contribute to API integration work.
• Take on backend tasks (Java or Python) with guidance from senior engineers, building backend familiarity over time.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Work within Agile sprints, communicate progress clearly, and flag blockers early.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience with ReactJS as the primary skill.
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Openness and willingness to work on backend code (Java or Python)—prior exposure is a plus, but a growth mindset is the baseline expectation.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and working with backend services from the frontend.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills

 
Nice to have:

• Any Java or Python backend exposure, even from coursework or side projects.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD basics, or containerization.
