Job details:

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Barcelona (Remote with the possibility of occasional office presence if required)

Duration: 6 months+extension

 

Programming and analysis in an active fullstack development project. The candidate will participate in the definition and development of microservices, BFF (Backend for Frontend) services, and integrations with external services, in an agile methodology environment.
 

Scope:

  • Participate actively in programming and analysis within an active fullstack development project environment.
  • Contribute to the definitions and core development of microservices.
  • Build and configure Backend for Frontend (BFF) services.
  • Manage integrations with external services and APIs within an agile methodology framework.
  • Adhere to project hours from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
  • Perform responsibilities remotely, maintaining availability for occasional office presence in Barcelona if required.
  • Operate effectively within the team without team management or explicit on-call/travel responsibilities.

 

Skills:

Primary Skills (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in web development (Fullstack or with demonstrable experience in both layers).
  • Back-end: TypeScript with verifiable work experience in real-world development projects.
  • Back-end: Node.js with TypeScript with verifiable experience in a back-end context (not just front-end).
  • Front-end: Modern front-end framework with at least 2 years of verifiable work experience (Vue 3 preferred, Vue 2.5 acceptable, Angular acceptable, React acceptable).
  • Front-end: Unit testing with Jest documented in work experience (not just self-reported knowledge).
  • Cross-cutting: Advanced consumption of REST APIs including error handling, authentication, and edge cases.
  • Cross-cutting: Design patterns and code refactoring knowledge applied in real-world projects.
  • Cross-cutting: Fluent Git framework usage (regular work with branches, pull requests, and team code review).

 

Language Requirements

  • English – Conversational level.
  • Additional languages are not required.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Travel/on-call duties are not required.
  • Occasional presence at the Barcelona office if required.

 

Additional Information (Valuable skills – not exclusive)

  • Architecture: Experience in defining and developing microservices and BFF services.
  • Architecture: Application and component architecture alongside state management (Pinia, Vuex, Redux, or equivalent).
  • Architecture: Application of SOLID principles, clean code, and version migrations in frontend frameworks.
  • Architecture: Knowledge and use of SQL in real-world projects.
  • Integrations & Deployment: Practical integrations with external services or APIs.
  • Integrations & Deployment: Experience with CI/CD environments (as a consumer) and Kubernetes deployment or service management.
  • Integrations & Deployment: Practical usage of AWS services (such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, or others).
  • Methodology: Working familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar.
