Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Murex Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and execute a comprehensive, end-to-end migration from Calypso Accounting to Murex Accounting. This is a mission-critical, 3-year strategic initiative requiring a seasoned consultant with hands-on enterprise deployment experience.
 

Scope:

• Lead the end-to-end functional and architectural migration from Calypso Accounting to Murex Accounting.
• Configure, test, and optimize Murex Mx.3 accounting module workflows, general ledger rules, and financial posting engine setup.
• Conduct detailed gap analysis between existing Calypso accounting setups and target Murex accounting frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with trading, risk, finance, and back-office teams to ensure accurate mapping, reconciliation, and audit compliance.
• Drive end-to-end testing (UAT, integration testing, reconciliation) and manage post-cutover hypercare support.

Skills:

• Murex Expertise: Deep hands-on experience deploying and configuring the Murex Accounting (Mx.3) module for enterprise financial institutions.
• Calypso Knowledge: Solid understanding of Calypso accounting rules, trade processing, and GL structures to drive seamless data migration.
• Migration Experience: Proven track record of managing at least one full lifecycle migration project from Calypso to Murex Accounting.
• Language: Fluent / Native Spanish speaker is mandatory due to regional client stakeholder management.
• Core Skills: Trade lifecycle accounting, IFRS/local GAAP compliance, financial product mapping, reconciliation, and troubleshooting complex posting rules.
