Job details:

• Remote, rare travels upon client’s request (reimbursable)

Scope:

• Driving technical direction, manage delivery, and stay close to the code.
• Equally effective in a design review, a sprint planning session, and a 1:1.

Requirements:

• Hands-on proficiency in one or more of: Java, Node.js, Golang.
• Able to contribute production-ready code, not just review it.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
• Strong backend engineering foundation in one or more of Java, Node.js, or Python; frontend exposure (ReactJS) is a plus or a willingness to engage across the stack is expected. Proven delivery track record leading distributed teams across time zones.
• Strong grasp of microservices, REST/event-driven APIs, and containerized cloud deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps culture.
• Clear, direct communicator comfortable with both engineering and senior business audiences.
• Language English is a must have.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with SAP Concur, travel & expense, or fintech domain contexts.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS at scale (1M+ users).
