The Data Engineer designs, builds, and operates scalable, reliable data pipelines and data models that enable analytics, reporting, and forecasts. This role collaborates with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineering teams to deliver high-quality, governed data to stakeholders while optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost.

Scope:

• Design, build, and optimize Snowflake data models and ETL pipelines
• Develop and maintain large-scale data models that capture historical data across financial KPIs
• Classify and harmonize historical SAP finance data using provided mapping logics
• Design, build and maintain APIs for data consumption from different applications
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to define data requirements, schemas, and access patterns.
• Implement data quality rules, monitoring, alerts, and remediation workflows.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata, and documentation
• Ensure production-readiness through automated tests, CI/CD, and observability

Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in production environments
• Several years of hands‑on Snowflake development, data modelling, and ETL pipeline engineering ideally in the field of Finance & Controlling
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, including Virtual Warehouses, Cloud Services, and Storage
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models following established patterns (e.g., star schema)
• Experience with Flask / FastAPI
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD experience
• Data quality and testing practices
