Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join client Sales Data & AI team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, contributing to the development of scalable and reliable data products for sales operations.
This is a hands-on, collaborative position ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex data challenges into production-grade solutions that have a real business impact.
Scope:
- Maintaining critical existing solutions (currently in Synapse / IICS stack)
- Strategically redesigning these solutions into a modern Databricks stack
Additional responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Azure Databricks and Python
- Implement and maintain data solutions across the Azure Data Platform (Data Lake, Databricks, etc.)
- Develop and maintain APIs for data ingestion, sharing, and interoperability
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all solutions
- Integrate data solutions into existing business processes and cross-functional systems
- Continuously improve performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability of data systems
Requirements:
- Strong experience with IICS stack
- Expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, Spark
- Solid experience with Azure Data Services, including Data Lake and Data Factory
- Experience with ingestion tools such as Qlik Replicate, MQ, MQCC
- Experience with API development (REST/JSON or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data architecture principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and structured working style in an agile delivery environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with business stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience with big data processing and performance tuning in Spark
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and security best practices
- Exposure to Power BI or similar visualization tools
