Job Description

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (extension likely)
  • Location: 99% Remote, mandatory attendance to planning sessions/workshops four times a year (able to travel freely around UK and Europe)
  • Working Hours: 9-6/10-7 CET possibility of a wider overlap (flexibility) appreciated

Project overview:

Join client’s innovative team as a Senior UX Designer. You will play a vital role in crafting intuitive and visually appealing applications in Figma, while also enhancing holistic user experiences through service design strategies. This position offers the flexibility of remote work within U.S. time zones for a leading US telecommunications company. You will also focus on designing data-heavy applications that drive actionable insights.

Scope:

  • Data-Heavy Application Design: Design user interfaces tailored to handle and present large volumes of data effectively, facilitating user decision-making processes.
  • Dashboard Design: Create and optimize dynamic dashboards in Figma for seamless integration with Power BI, ensuring they are both visually compelling and highly functional.
  • User-Centric Approach: Understand and interpret user needs to deliver intuitive experiences that align with business objectives and enhance usability for both dashboards and broader service interactions.
  • Workflow Analysis: Analyze, update, and optimize workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that designs are both practical and user-friendly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to gather requirements, extract insights, and ensure alignment on user experience goals.
  • Prototype Development: Develop high-fidelity prototypes to illustrate design concepts and user interactions, facilitating stakeholder buy-in and iterative improvements.
  • Visual Storytelling: Use design to tell compelling data-driven stories, translating complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Lead workshops and design sessions to drive consensus and align stakeholders on user experience strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of UI/UX best practices and Power BI capabilities to continually refine designs and improve user experience.


Requirements:

  • Portfolio: An impressive portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful design work, particularly in dashboard design and service design.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Figma, creating dashboards and data visualizations for Power BI.
  • Service Design Skills (optional, but welcome): Experience in service design, with the ability to view and improve the holistic user journey across multiple channels.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Strong understanding of data structures and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, especially in data-heavy applications.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Czech is a plus but not required.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and a user-centric mindset.
  • Remote Work Flexibility: Comfortable working remotely in U.S. time zones, with effective time management and self-motivation.
